My Personal Response to "The Serial" Podcast
1. Did you like the podcast? Why or why not?
This is my first time listening to a podcast, and I can say I did enjoy listening to it. Because "The Serial" is a very interesting podcast to listen to, and because I was able to do other things while listening.
2. What do you think of the idea of presenting investigative journalism in this format?
The Serial is an Investigative piece and I can say it is a brilliant idea, I say this because it gives listeners the opportunity to think and analysis whereas on a television program you would be watching and listening not having time to really think, analyze, envision.

3. How do you think the victim's family might feel about the fact that Serial has become such a popular podcast?
I think that the victim's family would feel okay with their daughter's murder story being revisited and people around the world tunning in to hear. Them sharing their daughter's story can just be a warning for others to evaluate who they consider a friend, this is a story that can help many to see what someone you might just call a friend can do.
4. Do you like listening to a text like this or would you prefer reading? What are the benefits/drawbacks to each?
I prefer a podcast then reading a book simply because of the various sounds and voices you hear throughout the entire podcast. When reading a book it's your own voice as all the characters within that book, but in a podcast you have different voices incorporated and music to really set the tone of the topic. But a book comes in handy when you like to highlight and see how things are spelled out and have a physical copy of what your reading.
5. Koenig opens the podcast by discussing the challenges of memory. How well do you think you would be able to remember the events of a given day? What issues or concerns does this raise for you about the rest of the podcast?
I myself have quite a good memory when it comes to certain things. If someone is to ask me about my first experience on a rollercoaster I can easily remember that, because I would consider that to be a milestone for me. But if someone was to ask me how many times I have gone on a rollercoaster last summer I won't be able to provide a solid answer because I've gone on to much to remember. But in the case of the podcast, it goes to show how distracted teens can get in a high school setting and that teens have selective memory.
